PITCH

This Blog post inlcudes my initial pitch and the journey of the idea: 

Firstly we started by looking at audience, track, genre, locations, visuals and costumes.

Here is the INITIAL PITCH video that i made:

Feedback on initial pitch:

• Possibility to bring in Brittany foot tapping and pencil tapping intertextuality
• Elvis Costello as teacher or driving instructor brings in a secondary, more mature, audience
• Posters for verisimilitude of teen bedroom, should not be printed on A4 paper for realism
• Look at possible plug ins we can use for editing
• Experiment with colour correcting and make sure to film sample scene with lighting experimentation
• Show illustration/sample scene of transformation of the character
• New narrative idea: Cool person walks past nerd and bumps their shoulder, cliche often used in teen films
• We can have beginning is the end and its was all a dream but then have a small bit at the end that shows it didn’t happen, non linear narrative structure
• Have alt video , simplistic, cutting fans into the video
• Coloured powder or paint on drums, go pro, multiple shots and angles, look at The Pixies Bagboy for use of coloured powder.
